About CEPP
The Colorado Emergency Preparedness Partnership (CEPP) provides a platform for public, private, and philanthropic organizations to work together on preparedness issues throughout the great State of Colorado. CEPP collaborates on projects and programs that promote joint emergency planning and information sharing.
CEPP is committed to enhancing situational awareness and fostering robust communication channels. Through our regular email distributions, members stay informed on the latest emergency preparedness initiatives from federal and state partners. In times of crisis, CEPP plays a crucial role in emergency communications and information sharing, helping to relay resource requests and critical updates to private sector partners. Additionally, CEPP assists local and state emergency managers in identifying and accessing essential resources from the private sector during emergencies and disasters, ensuring a coordinated and effective response.
The CEPP's mission would not be possible without the generosity and vision of our primary sponsor the Anschutz Foundation.

Our History
The Colorado Emergency Preparedness Partnership (CEPP) was created in 2008, just prior to the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Denver. Our purpose was to connect the public and private sector during this event, to ensure the business community had situational awareness of planning efforts surrounding the DNC. It was recognized that this public-private collaboration contributed to the success of the DNC and was an important part of emergency preparedness planning efforts in Colorado.
Following the DNC, CEPP worked to provide the private sector with educational briefings and workshops on emergency preparedness topics. It also provided an avenue for government entities to interact with businesses and to gain a better understanding of the issues the private sector faces with regards to preparedness
